Fit and sample review

Talk through the sample. We write it up for the factory.

Record your fitting, shoot as you go, and send a correction sheet the same day. In the factory’s language, coded so nothing gets lost.

Free for 3 sheets a month. Try Studio free for 14 days.

A linen wrap dress on a dress form, with correction codes C1, M1 and M2 pinned to the shoulder, bust and waist tie.
Hearing you Rec 00:42Bust is too loose, ninety-five and a half against ninety-two.

How it works

One take. No switching modes.

  1. Talk and shoot

Start a review and talk through the sample. Take as many photos as you like. Recording never stops for a photo: each one is pinned to the second you took it, so it lines up with what you said.

  2. Baste drafts the corrections

The transcript and photos are read together. Each correction is pulled out, coded and checked against your tech pack, so an out-of-tolerance point is caught even if you forget to say the spec.

  3. You review every line

Edit the wording, accept or remove, add anything that was missed and mark up photos. Nothing reaches the factory until you approve it.

  4. The factory gets a coded sheet

Send a PDF or a link. The factory reads it in their own language, and the same code follows each correction from the photo pin to the sheet.

The Corrections screen in Baste: four corrections found in 2 minutes 36 seconds of audio, coded M1, C1, F1 and K1, all reviewed.

You said, 00:17

“Starting at the bust, it is way too loose, I measure ninety five and a half against ninety-two.”

The factory reads

NoPoint of measureSpecSampleChgTol

Bust too loose. Reduce the bust measurement, 2.5 cm below the armhole. The sample measures 95.5 cm. The spec is 92 cm.

For the factory

A link in their language. Nothing to install.

  • Read it in their own language

Sheets are translated into Portuguese, Spanish, Italian, Turkish, Chinese, Hindi and Vietnamese. Your English original is one tap away.

  • Mark items done

Each code is ticked off as it is fixed, and you see progress as it happens.

  • Ask on the item, not in an email thread

Questions arrive translated, attached to the code they are about. Reply in a line.

  • Round to round

Proto 2 shows what was fixed from Proto 1, what is still open and what is new.

Questions

Before your next fitting

Does recording stop when I take a photo?

No. Audio records continuously from Start to Finish, and each photo is pinned to the moment you took it. There are no modes to switch and nothing to hold down.

Does the factory need the app?

No. They open the sheet in a browser, in their language, with no account. They can mark items done and ask a question on any item. You see it in Activity.

Which languages can a sheet be sent in?

Portuguese, Spanish, Italian, Turkish, Chinese, Hindi and Vietnamese, as well as English. Your English original is always one tap away.

Can I trust the numbers?

Baste reads the measurements from what you said. The change and tolerance are calculated against your tech pack, not guessed, and you approve every line before it is sent.

What happens if a call comes in mid-review?

Recording pauses and nothing is lost. Tap Resume recording to carry on in the same review.

I have no signal at the fitting.

Record as normal. Everything is saved on your phone and uploads when you are back online.

What happens to my recordings?

They belong to you and your brand, and are used only to make your sheets. Your studio can choose to delete recordings once a sheet is sent, or 90 days after.

How do I cancel?

In your App Store or Google Play subscription settings.
